If Long is the best QB, why not run this offense? I'm watching GT move the ball well against Clemson with their option.

We'd have to sign 5 OL who know how to chop block.
What's to teach? You dive at the defensive linemen to your front or either side, legal or not. Let the ref's sort it out in real time. Split second recognition of whether a tackle was engaged up top is very subjective and capricious. Why was there no call when Raymon's knee was messed? B/C ACC refs give them leeway due to their system.

GT's offense in no way nears the freeze option we were used to. My school's offense was somewhat based on the the freeze option. The only time I was diving at legs was when I had driven my opponent downfield, or scripted for in the case of quick passes.

Further proof that we're so far behind we think we're in first.

Well it sure helps when 12 of there 25 points are pick 6's. Again, further proof that cole Stoudt is absolutely terrible. Comes in with a lead on the 5 yard line and has now been outscored 25-3 and 2 of there TD's are from Stoudt interceptions.

When was the last freeze option that worked at SU? Why didn't more schools copy it?

I think more colleges figure out that run pass option stuff pre snap which is much easier for qbs
