- Syracuse has waited four years to get back to a bowl. Our seniors have never played in one. West Virginia didn’t want to be in this one and their players are deserto9ing them. I could see this being like the 2012 Pinstripe Bowl without the snowflakes.
- Eric Dungey has waited four years for this. It will be great Dungey
- Guys like Dontae Strickland and Moe Neal, or Jamal Custis and Sean Riley and their equivalents at other positions have been waiting a long time, too.
- Abdul Adams and Triston Jackson have been waiting a long time just to be able to play again. When they get their chance, watch out!
- +13 in turnovers, baby! (West Virginia’s pretty good too, at +6 but that’s not +13.)
- Our special teams have bene second to none. We get better field positon. We punt and kick-off well and cover them well. Sean Riley was 3rd in the country in kick returns. And Andre Szmyt is the best place-licker in the country. If it’s a close game, that could make a big difference.
