JW better hold a press conference before he introduces the new candidate or it could be very uncomfortable. There’s going to be a lot of questions/concerns on the hire. The new hire should not have to sit through that. JW is going to have a lot of explaining to do. These final three candidate are not ACC level coaches. It’s kind of a joke.

Impressed that you are so skilled at determining who is and is not an ACC level coach.

Please tell us who John Wildhack should be interviewing. I genuinely would like to know your list of candidates. Maybe it isn’t too late and John can reach out and convince one of your picks to interview.

Well, you have a Patriot level coach, a position coach and another MAC coach. That does not resonate as power five coaches. I’m just saying he’s going to have a lot of explaining to do. All three are major risks at a time that SU can’t get it wrong.

Well you can single-handedly solve that with a nine figure check.

Then we can interview whoever the we want.

Little old Clemson did ok hiring a position coach...

Our job isn't a job that is in demand. Obviously, JW would want the best guys he could get. I guess, this is it.

Dino wasn’t an ACC level coach either when he was hired.

It appears to me there are a bunch of posters who are going to whine and complain about the candidates we are looking at and reject every one of them. No matter what.

And offer nothing as far as alternatIves.

I get it. I fell in love with the idea of having Mullen as our HC. It would have been great. Props to John, who apparently did everything he could possibly do to make it happen.

But it didn’t.

We can‘t just shut the football program down. We have to find someone. None of these guys are perfect but we live in an imperfect world. Rarely do we have the opportunity to address a problem with a perfect solution.

It is time to get over the disappointment of the Mullen affair, and move forward now.

Mississippi State has way more money to spend than we do and they just hired an OC with no HC experience.

Experienced highly successful P5 level head coaches are few and far in between. Most schools, including us, have to make due with someone who is not quite where they would ideally be when they are hired.

The known candidates have weaknesses for sure, but also great positives. I bet at least one of these three candidates rumored to be the finalists is going to end up being a very good HC.

The question is, which one is it?

If I had to bet, it would be on Candle. I expect Indiana is going to grab him. If they offer him, he would be foolish not to take that offer. Surprised he has lasted this long without getting snapped up by a P5 school.

Whoever we pick, I am sure we will will watch what the other finalists do over the next 5 years with great interest.

So who should he be interviewing? Who’s on your hot board

A&M hired a P5 coach and is getting ripped by many for that Hire.. No one is happy most of the time.

Thats why they interview

Everyone comes from someplace else.

Were Chris Klieman, Lance Leipold or Paul Pasqualoni P5 level coaches when they were hired in your opinion?

Where did Nick Saban, Brian Kelly, and Urban Meyer get their first head coaching gigs? The MAC.

Let me try this again. Which candidate do you hate the most? Because that’s the one we should definitely hire.

At the rate we are going…the consensus will be on Candle tomm
