Honest question here. You think if we finish .500 or less and don’t make tournament next year either they give him another year after? You act like they lost. Red is here for 4 years minimum so everyone can chill on that front
It might as well have been a loss. It doesn’t matter either way, this program is going nowhere and is completely irrelevant. There’s nothing suggesting we’ll find our way out of this mess either. You act like they lost. Red is here for 4 years minimum so everyone can chill on that front
2 games lol… 2. You’re right it’s impossible for a team to improve as the year goes on. Might as well not play the rest of the seasonIt might as well have been a loss. You’re a good fan. These are people just spewing moronic things after a bad effort from the team.Don’t even respond to their senseless drivel.2 games lol… 2. You’re right it’s impossible for a team to improve as the year goes on. Might as well not play the rest of the season
Disagree w/ you on this. The “plan” was three years, not four. I am hoping something clicks with either the coach or the team but I am dreading what happens when they play a “real” team. He’s getting 4. That’s the number of years to get “your guys” in the program. Red can recruit and will get the players he wants. But no way he’s gone after this year. Year 3 will be very important. Wins are still wins as of right now
Dead men have no bookmarks.Syracuse should not be an OJT job.

Is that just a flippant remark or do you really believe that?I think there is a group of fans who like to complain. It might be subconsciously but they realize with the class we have coming in next year we are going to improve and they won't be able to do it. I'm excited about what Red is doing.
Apparently it refers to “on the job training.” I had to look it up. I am not sure why we have to abbreviate everything. It takes less than three seconds to type the actual words. FML.OJT?
Red is 22 -12 as a head coach ..and that's with picking up the pieces from the lazy one. That would be the second best stretch in the last decade .go back to sleepSyracuse should not be an OJT job.

Doesn't take 4 years with the transfer portal. That's ridiculous. And no he better not get 4 if there's no NCAA bid. That would be 5 in a row. He’s getting 4. Had a week to at least show a little improvement on defense and Devo sure wasn't impressed, but we'll see.2 games lol… 2. You’re right it’s impossible for a team to improve as the year goes on. Might as well not play the rest of the season
I appreciate your positivity, but a lot of fanbases would be complaining after 3 years with no NCAA and to come out like this in the first two games.I think there is a group of fans who like to complain. I did hear him talk alot about it but do u remember Devo as a defensive genius in college, i dont either so all the things he was saying about these he would be saying about himself. Yea he gets it 100% now but it didnt look like he did in college. Kids are learning and honestly the thing i see most is lack of grit and want on defensive end. To be great on defense, its all heart.Had a week to at least show a little improvement on defense and Devo sure wasn't impressed, but we'll see.
Transfer portal changes everything - the leash has to be shorter. This roster is Reds guys, no? They could definitely improve but we haven’t seen much development the past 2 years. It appears Judah may have bailed us a lot out last year to get those 20 wins; clearly we miss Maliq a ton. So he lost his best 2 players and clearly did not replace with equal talent. He’s getting 4. That sums a up a lot of my feelings. To add, yes we won 20 games last season, but realistically, we beat Oregon and UNC and NC State (before they started playing well and went on their crazy NCAA run.) It was definitely improvement from where we were, but was it really that great? I'm not so sure. There was a reason we weren't even on the NCAA bubble.Transfer portal changes everything - the leash has to be shorter. This roster is Reds guys, no? Year 3 is big because of Kiyan. If this year and next year don’t go well (aka no NCAA tournament) then he shouldn’t get a year 4.
Wins aren’t wins. This isn’t the NFL. You get into March based on your resume - and performances like the last 2 games severely hurt our metrics. We struggled mightily with 2 low level D1 programs. I’ll take any sort of “win” in conference sure, but games like this we should AT LEAST be in control. We could quite easily be 0-2, against (according to KenPom) the #337 and #226 teams in the country.
Those were our 2 easiest games this year with the possible exception of Albany. These were supposed to be our tune up games.
