College athletics have to be flexible and AD's have to work together.

Thinks expanding the CFP to 12 makes sense. There is no perfect format. It's complicated but doable.

Having a full Dome will be huge. We're not at 100% yet, but we're getting close.

Basketball will be a great storyline (until either Jimmy or Buddy commits a turnover ).

Its obvious each time i watch JW that he is a guy who is in charge.
I have no doubt that when it comes time to hire a coach for any sport at SU that he is going to make the decision.

Covid stuff. SU managed 90% of their scheduled competitions this season.

Doesn't know if SU is cleared for 100% attendance yet, depends on Onondaga County.

County is only at 65% vax rate.

WLAX coach search is still in progress. No timetable.

We're going to embrace NIL as an opportunity for our student-athletes. SU is looking into establishing curriculum for student-athletes to manage the new potential revenue stream.

Succession plans after JB: We will address it at the proper time. Both internal and external candidates. Said Gerry McNamara and Adrian Autry "will both be head coaches someday, I firmly believe that. ... Either Gerry or Adrian, they're capable of being head coaches anywhere in the country."

WBB transfers: The portal isn't unique to SU. Kids will enter the portal without a landing spot. There will always be roster turnover. "I totally support him (Q). I support the values that he has for the program. I support the standards that he holds everyone to."

Undetermined if SU will ask fans to provide proof of vax. Will have a comprehensive policy by the Fall.

Chase Scanlan: SU has to respect and abide by federal law.

Women's jersey retirement: There is a committee. There will be announcements soon.

All students are required to be vaccinated, that applies to athletes too (except for medical / religious reasons). SU is at 90% vax for athletes. There will be a testing policy for non-vax athletes.

He said that either Autry or GMAC could be head coaches very soon. He said something to the effect of Griffin doesn’t have as much experience as GMAC, which is not correct. The Syracuse dot com writer pointed out in his recap that Wildhack was incorrect.

yes they do. Like all students they can put in for a medical or religious waiver where religious isn’t really defined and easier to get. The negative is that you then have to wear a mask and get tested regularly.

Honest question about a work around. I believe they teach classes or have an internship program in remote locations such as Los Angeles. Is this an opportunity to get past NYS challenges?
