Will Dino Make Changes To The OL

Anyone have an address or very crude directions for how to find this lot? I have an idea but not harm confirming!
So Cordy is the best we have too?
(I do believe there is no option on offensive line sitting on the bench)
2 or 3 dbs got nicked during the game

The other thing NOBODY Is talking about as they are blaming DeVitto...our WR's aren't getting open. You combine bad o-line play where DeVitto is running for his life and our WR's inability to get consistently open to give DeVitto few to no options to throw the ball, then yes you get bad sacks and bad decisions at times.

My concern is the lack of in game adjustments. I feel like we’ve seen it in the past just a tad but more so this year.

For example, why leave Cordy in like that?

Why single out 1 player? The others weren’t exceptional either. In fact 2 people who I trust to understand football since they both have at least coached HS football and sit in the end zone because they like watching plays develop, were more frustrated by Cisco than anyone in the defensive backfield. Especially his coverage skills.

Yes they’re were not good either. But it was clear his height disadvantage was being picked on by Clemson and the coaches did not adjust.

I think one glaring issue was that their WRs were all 6 inches taller than our DBs. There was jump-ball after jump-ball.
That’s also true. Not every team Cuse is going to face will have that height. That WR group is legit.

Meli had a great game from what I saw.

Yes!
But - I think he was also one of the DB's who got an "owie" during the game.
Here's hoping it's very minor, and he's back at 100% for WMU and beyond.

They are not getting open you are correct. GoSU96 took issue with me calling them over-rated last week but they are. They don't get open and right now dropping too many passes. With option #1 covered DeVito barely has time to go to a 2nd option let alone 3rd because. There have been a number of times he has protection and nobody to throw it to.

Clemson blanketed these guys playing mostly man.

Is it just me or does anyone else have who has watched SU football over the past 10 years instantly have doubt when we get inside the 10? I'm just sick of inside handoffs getting stuffed.
I just want the hurt to stop..

Yes, there has been very little imagination in our red zone offense for at least a couple coaches now.

I don't need imagination. I just need an OL than can get push. They get stood up or go backwards.

Well, maybe if they called that bootleg for Tommy on 2nd and goal instead of 3rd down, we might have put 7 points on the board. The fade wasn't necessarily a bad call, but was poorly executed.

yeah, at the game, that's one thing you can't see on tv. there would've been a lot of coverage sacks if they weren't bludgeoning devito with the corpse that attempt block them so quickly

Herbstreit mentioned multiple times during the game how unusual it was to do the OL rotation that we did (i.e totally reshuffling, Tackle to Center, etc...) and that by doing that it was not surprising we were struggling. Basically, he was surprised hat we did not have a viable back-up (besides one of our starting Tackles) to plug in. It is scary to think about the lack of talent and depth we have on the OL.

When Cavanaugh was hired: “Mike has an outstanding track record of teaching and developing quality offensive linemen,” Babers said in a statement. “He’s done it successfully at every level in college as well as the pros. This was an opportunity to add someone whose knowledge and experience will greatly enhance our staff and benefit our players.”

He needs to start showing it. I'm not seeing it here.

I thought we had a pretty good O line last year. Not world beaters, but pretty good. Losing your starting center is tough. I give him the benefit of the doubt. It's not like he's teaching these kids card tricks.

Heckel coming back will help. Need Servais back out on the edge.

Do we have any idea when that might be? I think we can be fine the next 2 weeks, but cringe at it going beyond that.

I think I recall someone saying at the time of the injury that they were expecting 4 weeks.

Let's not act like Dungy didn't make horrible decisions at times and throw bad INT's. The o-line is brutal and not good at all. Tom Brady could be back there and he would struggle at this point in time. I'm not putting all of this on DeVito

Points always have more credibility when you can spell the player’s name correctly.

But DUNGEY was only here four years so what the hell, it takes time, right?

I agree. Not having anyone other than your starting LT as a backup Center is suicide. I mean there isnt one other Oline player on the team other than the starting LT that can play center?

Heckel out.
Duerig out.
Servais is pressed into playing center.
Clearly it's the Oline coaches fault that two of the centers are injured.
Everyone needs to get a grip on reality, we are never going to be that team that can easily go three deep and not miss a beat.
But keep beating that drum that Dino and Cavanaugh don't know what they are doing or need to show us more...
