Will Raymon play?

I've been thinking about that, it's a tough question. Honestly, I don't think so. I think he needs to be eased back into things and I don't think throwing him back in the first game he's available would be a great idea. Let him practice a week or two, see how he takes contact, and then bring him back in gradually. If I'm right in my thinking he has another year of eligibility? Would hate to rush him back before he's truly ready, though we could really use another big. Excited about his development! Welcome back Johnny!

He was in uniform on the sidelines at MetLife last week.

If he was dressed for the Maryland game, nobody mentioned anything.

Who knows how long he's been available?

Great question. And has he been practicing?

If he's "available", I'd have to assume that he's participated in enough practices.

Otherwise, Shafer wouldn't have mentioned him at his last presser.

Great question. And has he been practicing?

he has to be practicing somewhat before he was cleared and once cleared he was determined by the medical staff fit enough to hold his own in game and practice conditions.

It's just a coaches opinion away to determine if he can help right now for a win

Yes he plays, he's been sorely missed and this game is critical.

Kind of strange that no reporter mentioned that Raymon has been practicing for a while now.

Williams and Raymon in the middle, talk about stuffing the run in the middle. Can't be easy to move those guys, get Thompson out side with Johnson and Robinson and you have a solid pass rush that can also stop the run.

Syracuse defensive tackle John Raymon 'worked his tail off' to return from severe knee injury (PS: Mink)
