Nassib is in a strange position - backup to a QB that never seems to be hurt enough to not play. After 4 years behind Eli and with the price of QB's going through the roof I am hoping to see Ryan get his chance somewhere next year.

He hasn't actually ever done anything as a Pro, right? I think 1 TD now?

That said, he's smart, strong arm, and looks the part, so somebody somewhere may be interested.

Someone will give him some money, but not a guaranteed starting spot. There are a few teams every year that throws the QB leftovers at the wall and see what sticks.

He'll get paid much better than he does now, but I don't see him getting a crazy deal or anything.

Eli is 35 so I am sure the Giants brass will definitely take a good hard look at Nassib this summer.

Tyrod Taylor comes to mind. Back up to Flacco for years and never played. 3 year $3.35 million deal in 2015 with another 2 million possible in incentives. Nassib's deal should be a little better then late, but not much more imo.

Any word on Nassib has been that he's developed very nicely behind Eli. Take in the fact that he's healthy, has not taken a real shot since getting blown up in the Pinstripe vs. WV, and that's a bonus.

There will come a day that he's going to get a chance, there's just not enough quality QB play in the NFL for him not to. Unfortunately, I don't think that will ever materialize in NY. Eli has at least another 3-4 years, almost assuredly as a NYG.

Nassib will either become too expensive to keep as a backup or too valuable a trade piece for the Giants to pass up on. I'm expecting serious action on him at this years draft. A team can get him on the cheap for one more year and find out if he's got the chops to be their QB.

They received significant interest on him last year but didn't want to go through the process of drafting another backup, especially with the uncertainty behind Eli's contract negotiations at the time. I expect him to be in the league a very long time , again, unfortunately not as a NYG.

"blown up"? Got hammered in one play, out for one snap, and then came back to kick redness a$$. I guess that wasn't the same game I saw as you.

That one shot is what I was talking about chief. Blown up = hit hard.

I saw every glorious moment from right there at the stadium.

Thanks to Broyld who messed up the protection.

Can hope for a Chase Daniel type career, flash enough potential in the preseason to keep getting contracts and never get exposed. Has earned $12 million thus far in his career and just got another $12m guaranteed yesterday.

The Giants gave the $$ to pay for a real backup if they want, so it's possible they could look to unload nassib. but what are you going to get for a 4th round pick who never plays and looked shaky in some preseason games??

His best hope is that the Giants have some big success this year and that someone on the staff gets a top job somewhere and is willing to let nassib compete to run his offense at wherever.

Oh, he's not exactly killing it at practice like Tyrod was, to the point where there was a legend of him and his exploits...which helps to land a contract.
