I don’t think anyone will.

The haves will replace juniors and seniors with experienced starters entering the portal. The have nots will continually lose quality guys to the portal.

Hard to blame QBs. Most big time guys are making 2x Brock Purdy’s salary based on Matt Rhule’s commentary and what ND got Hartman for.

Let's be thankful McNabb was one. In the NIL age he would have been gobbled up by USC in/around January 1996 for 3mm per.

I doubt anyone will anymore unless it's a unique situation.

In addition to NIL-transfer situations, the NFL would be a player after his 3rd year as a starter.

Actually, there should be some interesting contests for good QBs going forward--richest colleges vs NFL. The college will pay more than the athlete might get on a rookie contract, except for maybe the top 10 choices.
