I know that it's often the away team that provides its conference's officials, but since it's a neutral site I'm wondering if that will be the case. Just preparing myself for "equipment violations" again if it's an SEC crew. ESPN has this as an away game for us, which I assume is correct?

In a stunning career move, former baseball umpiring legend Angel Hernandez will be making his college football debut as the lead official for the game. The good news: Both teams are probably equally screwed. The bad news? The game will probably last 4 to 5 hours easily due to multiple video reviews on any and every close call (spotting the ball, sideline/goal-line calls, possession rulings, etc.).

I can't wait till he calls Villari safe at home, which he is clearly out, for us to win!!!

Sankey is picking the officials. Don’t worry, he said he would be fair and not biased.
Maybe he's rooting for his roots (and Alma Mater).
