Will you rush the field with me when we win?

We disagree. I've been watching football games at the dome since it opened. IMO, the #1 Nebraska win is the biggest SU upset by far in the past 30 years. It pretty much stands alone. As for the win at ND ... ND was not good that year and had a 6-4 record going in. In 2007, Louisville was ranked #18... so enough said of that being a bigger upset than a win this weekend against #1.
It all depends on whether you want to measure it by thoughts/feelings/eye test or strictly point spreads. From a spread standpoint, Louisville will ALWAYS be #1 considering that 37 point underdog win is one of the biggest upsets in Vegas history. Nebraska was +25 so it would be slightly ahead of a victory Saturday. And the GROB win at UND was +20ish so that would come in #4 (By the way if I'm missing big upsets let me know, I havent thought too hard on it).

Now , from a thoughts/feelings/eye test perspective, I think I'll agree with you that you can't top the "dream game" in 1984.

OSU beating USC in Corvallis was a big one a few years ago too as well as when Harbuagh beat them at Stanford in his 1st year I believe

Honestly, I don't even look at point spreads so we are certainly coming from 2 different references. I just look at what it means to the fans and program not necessarily the betters. To me, the Nebraska game was the turning point of an entire program and biggest upset. The week before SU was shutout by Rutgers. 2 years later they were undefeated. While I enjoyed that Louisville game of course, there was a feeling that it would be impossible to beat Nebraska by "fans" before that game that didn't exist against Louisville. For Louisville it was like , "Hey, we beat the #18 team." but for Nebraska it was like "Holy Shi* we just beat #1 Nebraska!!!!! (who hadn't lost a game in a couple years). It was euphoric.

Stanford over USC in 07 is the biggest upset of all time spread wise. Line closed anywhere from +39 to +41. The craziest part about it, is that it came one month after our historic Louisville upset we're talking about in this thread. Our reign of "biggest upset ever" lasted a month. haha

This thread got me thinking so I went and perused the last 30 years. A few interesting things jumped out at me.

1. We were 11 point favorites in the famous WVU game to go undefeated in '87. I would have guessed that spread was -3.

2. We were 41 point faves over Rutgers in '98 and STILL covered...by 56! Was that the game where Pasqualoni knealt inside the 5 because we already had 70?

3. The following year we were 30 point favorites @ Rutgers and lost straight up. Has to be Rutgers biggest upset all time by far.

I will be there.

LincolnCuse, be sure to bring gear to rappel down from the 3rd deck to the field level so we don't have to use the stairs.

I am going to use a hang glider and sail directly into the goal posts. avoiding the security blanket.

To answer the subject question, yes - I will rush the field. It may take a few days for me to get time off and drive up there so that might be a little ackward.

If we win... I will take off my shirt and pants. Tie them together and to the railing of my 2nd level seats. Then proceed to repel down to the opposing fan section and hurdle the final obstacle to the field. I might not be able to walk when I get there but at least I will have made it. ;)

I will fly down from my 3xx seats:
