Winston case has escalated

Apparently she went to the hospital immediately and they did a rape kit. The victim's story is gaining credibility. The perpetrator's height issue goes away with the DNA. If it was rape there is probably more physical evidence.

This is now going to be a headline issue right up to the Heisman voting and I think he is toast. It is not like he was a lock anyway.

Regardless of JW's guilt or innocence the handling of this case appears to be an egregious performance by TPD. Tallahassee PD is toast and that officer is going to lose his job.

Not sure I agree with that. We don't know, obviously, but IF there is DNA it would be pretty damning in my opinion. The girl reported it at 4a.m. For an incident allegedly to have occurred at 2a.m. This is not the behavior of a consentual incident.

not likely as she called police right after it happened,and couldn't I.D. right away.Unless police had the DNA tested and she picked him out of a team photo in january.This really smells of a major cover-up.

When did they get Winston's DNA anyways,his lawyer says they haven't yet from some of his statements.Or did they get his DNA before he hired the Florida State team legal mind

If there is physical evidence of rape then he hopefully goes to jail and there seems to be a bit of the TPD pushing this aside, which is creepy as hell. It's freaking football and it just amazes me how confused some peoples priorities are, especially a person that is suppose to protect their citizens.

There is no clear cut front runner this year and anything that knocks off votes is probably going to make a candidate lose. This is not going away anytime soon and I think that sinks his chances. Fair or not that is probably what is going to happen.

True, Johnny only has proven that he got paid to play an amateur sport. Let's not pretend this trophy is anything other than it is, BS. It's fitting that the two top voters be a proven cheater an a possible rapist. Times man of the year will soon follow.

I'm not going to either. But an "angry female" doesn't call the cops at 4am. Something happened. It may not have been Winston. But I believe something wrong happened.

The discussion shouldn't be whether this will affect his heisman chances. If he's found to be guilty, and the evidence seems to be mounting, it should be about how many years he should spend in prison, and how much trouble should the TPD be in.

This does look more suspicious by the day. Although I won't jump to conclusions bc I've seen this issue from both sides of the spectrum. If the crime was committed then obviously justice should be served. If it wasn't truly a crime then the damnifications that go towards the male are just as much torture.

I think everyone agrees with that - or should. But just think, if he wins the Heisman and then is found guilty! As this sinks in I don't think he has a chance to win. Hopefully, the justice system will ultimately get in right.

Agreed, Manziel it is. Kid is absolutely incredible. Unreal. SO much fun to watch play. Has kept his nose clean since season started and I think most of his doings were a college kid being a college kid. He's kind of a throwback. Say what you want about him being a punk, but IMO he wins again in a landslide

Actually, no. Johnny has more attempts, 3 more TD and 4 more INT. Winston has been benched at the half in a lot of games. Winston's QB rating is 195.5 to Johnny 186.9. The Baylor QB actually has the best stats outside of completion percentage.

And of course W-L is a big deal to voters. FSU and Baylor are undefeated.
