Winston investigated for sexual assault

If you've been paying attention the last few years, TMZ has as much credibility as ABC, NBC, etc. They were the first to report all sorts of important celebrity stories and EVERY TIME someone said "its only TMZ" they were wrong. Who knows the real story here, but its tremendously naive in 2013 to say TMZ isn't the most legitimate source out there for this kind of stuff

And, TMZ is only reporting that he was investigated for the crime, which by the behavior of the Noles brass in the last 30 minutes, seems to probably be accurate

I would say that if this has been under investigation for almost one year there certainly hasn't been a rush to judgment.

State Attorney Willie Meggs would not confirm that the investigation is of Winston but said an 11-month-old complaint was turned over to the Leon County state attorney on Wednesday after media inquiries were made to the Tallahassee Police Department. The complaint was first reported by the online web site TMZ.

There is a huge difference between 5-9 to 5-11, and 6-4, this should not have even come out as a report of any kind, unless he was specifically reported as the attacker, which the story does not state.

The assault was in Dec of 2012 and they are now just getting around to the investigation? Why the delay? Maybe he shouldn't be playing this year at all?!

I imagine the investigators will kick into gear in mid January and it will be resolved prior to Spring ball.

Trust!! This story will explode over the next 24 hours!! I'm also going to guess there will be activist protesting how it has been almost a year and no questioning.. We will see how it plays out and if it plays into his mental approach to this weekends game.
