My point exactly. Please notice the last sentence of my comment. Any preference I may have for playing and beating the "better" team is mine alone. Perhaps I wasn't clear about that.

Wisconsin. They are the lesser team. So what if they slow the game down; they have trouble scoring. Yes, they take care of the ball, but all we need is one run against them. Put them in a 10+ point hole and that's 10 minutes worth of offense for them. It will take them forever to try to work down a deficit playing from behind.

That's it in a nutshell. Nobody controls tempo like Bo Ryan, but if we can get a decent lead, they'll have trouble coming back.
I have no interest in facing a zone. None at all.

The teams are evenly matched. Wisconsin is a slight favorite today (-1) last I checked.

Both teams like to launch 3s, which I think is a negative for SU. I think Wisconsin has some big guys who can do damage in the middle of the zone, but Vandy has the superior outside shooters.

IMO Wisconsin is a better defensive team. I think SU has a quickness advantage in the backcourt against Vandy, but Vandy's big men would present more problems on the offensive glass.

Would prefer to see Wisconsin next round over Vanderbilt. Aside from giving Bo Ryan several days to prepare, I think it's a better matchup for us.

Agree.

The Badgers would be a much tougher test than KSU IMHO.

They have allowed only two opponents to score over 70 points all year...and that was 72 and 71 respectively. They don't play a zone but they play a very tough m2m. That said, they are offensively-challanged and that will be their downfall eventually in this tourney whether it is today, next week, or whenever.

You are the second person to make this type of response to my original comment. Kindly read my entire post as the last sentence clearly states, and agrees, that history will not remember us for who we didn't play. My post explains my personal preference for who I'd like us to play. I'm sorry I didn't make it very clear.

Exactly, which is why I always say that nobody forces tempo like Bo Ryan...which will make it all the harder to inflict our will on them tempo-wise.
