He’s looking at Defensive Rating which unlike other defensive metrics is strictly looking at the number of points a team allows per 100 possessions while they are on the court. Nothing specific to individual defense or defensive box score stats. Think it’s more related to the pace we were playing when Bell was in. But would have to look over the play by play.

Carlos averaged 32 minutes our first three games, only 22 the last three.

I think he can be helpful situationally, especially if we get pressed with Starling and Moore, Carlos might be able to relieve that pressure.

He also might be able to put pressure on another teams shaky backup point guard in a kind of one man full court press.

Otherwise, just a few minutes a half to keep him engaged is more than adequate.

The downward trend in Carlos' minutes is earned.
