9/23/59 Joe Louis makes a cameo appearance on IGAS. He’d been on the show on 10/19/55 and on WML back on 3/2/52 but those shows are not on You-Tube. The WML appearance is a “lost episode”. .
There is no way that guy is Whitey Ford, the Yankee’s pitcher. It’s got to be a boxer/sparring partner by that name. Ben Gazzara was preparing to appear in a TV production of the boxing drama “Body and Soul”.
