Jaquan Carlos, who everyone here bashes constantly averages 0.7 APG less and 0.3 SPG less in only about five more minutes a game. He also shoots 32% from 3.

If Copeland is such an asset why exactly is he playing "limited" time at McNeese State?

McNeese State is loaded. And every game is their Super Bowl.

Copeland ending up at McNeese was an eyebrow raiser, but Will Wade knows how to accumulate talent. Looking at their roster, I see a bunch of guys 6-3 to 6-7 from conferences like the SEC, A10, and CUSA.

Unfortunately for us, Copeland ended up transferring up by going to McNeese. Last year the Cowboys ended the season ranked #67 on kenpom last year. Cuse finished 80.

Currently they are #61 on kenpom. Cuse is 128.

Based on kenpom's net rating difference tempo average, McNeese would be favored by 6-7 points over Cuse on a neutral court.

I'm gonna hit the post button and go vomit now.

That means colleges should forget about education and educational requirements and recognize that they are running pro teams.
No more "college teams."
These are teams merely wearing the name of the college that (mostly indirectly) pays them.
Classes, degrees, education should be strictly optional.

This board has overrated Copeland more than any player I can remember. He's scoring 9 a game while playing 21 minutes a game for McNeese State. He makes some flashy plays, but he's also a turnover waiting to happen. He averaged two turnovers a game last year in 22 mins at Syracuse and now almost three a game in 21 mins at McNeese State. He also shoots less than 20% from 3. What is the fascination with this player?

He was an A+ defender, had a very good handle that got him into the heart of the defense, and was a productive passer when he was here - just what we needed. Well, that and better 3pt shooting and a few less wow passes. I think he would have been even better at Syracuse this season and we might have 2-3 more wins with him, what he does/did after he transferred I don't think is all that relevant; different situation.

I can't comment on his, supposed, off court issues.

What's the debate that Qs better than Carlos? No brainier. That said Q dug his own grave here and carried himself like he was a lot better than he actually is.

i wasnt sad about q leaving considering the behind the scenes problems...and on-courtt lack of discipline

but i though he would be replaced by a better PG

Q is 100x better than carlos bc of defense alone

i think people this year underestimate how much carlos hurts on defense

Q, at point, no way. Turnover machine. Poor shooter.

He shoots 10% from 3!!! Against Southland conference defenders! So he’s getting good looks. And some people on another post are claiming Q should have stayed and started ahead of JJ. And they complain about JJ’s 26%.

Quadir’s best position was at SF as a slasher, energy guy, garbage man and occasional point forward, but he did not want to play that role.

He was a guy who seemed to ooze talent, but stats don’t lie. His stats say he is not consistently good.

I watch it all. Well, not ALL this year. A guy that played 20’ at McNeese state wasn’t going to add 7 more wins to this team. Lol

I’m not saying Q isn’t a better player.
