With the exception of last year. I always felt like FSU just makes 4 big plays against SU and that’s it but somehow the game gets out of hand. Prevent the 60 yard td runs and crap like that and I think they have a chance here

No it's not. He (and Briles) are in their 1st season with FSU. I don't put a lot stock in the results just yet. More to the point, if you bother to look at his resume you'd see that he might be a pretty good fit here with HCDB and running this offense.

FSU is his worst year statistically; but they're implementing a new system. Houston and D1AA Southeastern put up huge numbers both rushing and total offense. His time at Baylor is self explanatory and was on staff with HCDB 4 years.

He might be a good fit. Maybe you're right. I apologize I didn't bother to look into his resume. I'm gunshy to guys with good history lol

I remember USF when Taggert was coaching them was struggling...with a record of 1 and 3 or the like... but lost some close games and then boat raced SU to propel their season and his career to later attract Oregon to hire him.

This will be interesting to see how FSU responds to this "job on the line" thing.

I’m ok with outsiders thinking it was a fluke. Keeps their paws away from trying to steal him.

Personally I think this year is the fluke. First two years the records weren’t good but the progress and improvement was clear from watching the team play. As far as I’m concerned, 1 bad year that’s sabotaged by one incredibly poor unit doesn’t override 3 years of progress that included our best season in almost 20 years.

Honestly, this is my take on it too. Depth and injuries conspired against years 1 and 2. But the team played much differently than BB. (Before Babers.) Last year was great, and this year feel like the anomaly.

This is Clements' first year there. The FSU OL was poop last year and the year before.

Clements had very good OLs at Baylor and Houston.
