If the guy never told anyone, it's going to much harder to confirm his story.

While I believe the guy 0n the face of things, it's not unusual to have someone jump on the bandwagon hoping to get something out of a situation. Look how many people took advantage of the Katrina payouts.

Did anyone say he never told anyone, or he just didn't come forward with his story?

There are lots of professional investigators, detectives and prosecutors who are very experienced in handling this kind of case and getting to the bottom of who is and is not a credible victim. While this case may be novel in that involves a high profile university and high profile people at the University, there is unfortunately lots and lots of precedent on how to investigate and prosecute this type of crime.

20 years? It's probably been going on his entire adult life. It almost certainly didn't just start with these incidents.

It's sad because he was probably molested himself. That isn't an excuse but it's likely a cause. Which is why it's really important for his victims to come forward so they get the help they need.
