Class of 2026 WR Calvin Russell (FL) COMMITTED/SIGNED TO SYRACUSE (7/5/25)

My prediction, based on nothing more than spidey sense and man's intuition. Russell has been a silent verbal for a while. He and Fran have been playing it cool, no official visit, no mentions in interviews, so when Russell drops the orange bomb tomorrow night, it will have maximum impact.

That would be cool.

Wouldn't be so sure.

We'll find out tomorrow night.
For sure, I just think their WR room has been week and getting a bunch of really good receivers doesn’t hurt

Will share what I know. SU is in a very good spot but much like a few commits last year tomorrow is the beginning not the end of the recruitment. Just as SU remains in contact with a certain NY Wr the recruitment for Russell is just starting. Though I think some people maybe pretty happy around this time tomm.

Rather have the commit at the beginning of the recruitment than otherwise!

True but even if he decides to go elsewhere SU and a few others will still be in the thick or it. This is one of those recruitment that will go until signing day and potentially beyond.
Yep and it comes with the territory, these are the battles as fans we want to be in. Appreciate your sharing what you are hearing.

Sounds like the lean is michigan now. Hope it's all part of the shock the world plan. I know it's not over, would be great to make that big splash though.

Also, I don’t think it’s very nice to speak negatively about people who are indecisive. The first time I went to Cheese Cake Factory, I almost had a panic attack when I saw that their menu was 726 pages long. There’s too many options. Have less options.
100%.
It is absolutely ridiculous.
I refuse to eat there bc of it.
As a chef, whenever I took on a new job and tasked with menu overhaul...I always reduced the size & streamlined the menu. Its always best to have to order less ingredients and more of the few. Cross utilize.
Create a larger daily specials menu utilizing seasonal products and ingredients that you can get a good deal on at the time.

CKF menu is a joke.
They have 26 different appetizers not even counting flatbreads &
21 specialty dishes. They are no longer special at that point.
18 different salads & cuisine from 14 countries.
Probably 15 dishes featuring an ingredient thats not in any other dish...
probably more I counted 322 menu items.

They make a helluva club sandwich though
