Great, but even if he's guaranteed to be here, if Angeli/Collins struggle I would hope that this staff goes out and finds another QB that can get him the ball.

And I was not one of them … point of fact the only thing I recall mentioning regarding McCord was that the Michigan game was not on him. One pic was the result of a poorly run route the other was him literally being crushed as he released the ball. McCord had a full and quite successful season under his belt and watching OSU vs Missouri cemented how important he was to OSUs offense. Our options aside from McCord here made him being anointed the starter a no-brainer and that is by no means meant to disrespect the players already on the roster but McCord was a proven commodity that showed an entire season of great play and the numbers backed it up.

I don't know why people are getting mad about a pretty benign statement. I sincerely hope Angeli/Collins are exactly what we need at the position, but until we see them on the field we have no idea.

Not correct, it depends on the state NIL Rules. In NY you can, it’s why Hampton is being paid by Oregon. I’m not sure what the rules are in Florida.

Who doesn’t arrive until 2026 and we are entering what could be a pivotal season with more questions than answers. Heaven forbid anyone ask questions, have doubts or think anything other then everything will be perfect.

I’m insanely thrilled we won the Russell battle but we aren’t busting at the seems with 4 and 5 star talent. Have guys with great measurables but not everything will translate to full success. Guys will come out of nowhere and exceed expectations and some will falter. It’s a game with unknowns .., heaven forbid we treat it as such.

All this commentary about QB's as if Nixon isn't going to figure out how to get the ball to our weapons and we have tons of them. Not to mention Fran and the staff bringing in hundreds and hundreds of pounds of new beef on the offensive line.

It isn't a consideration in THIS thread, because as you said he doesn't show up on campus until 2026. This is the transfer portal era, half the team could be different by the time he gets here, now is irrelevant in regards to Russell.

I have plenty of joy and I never claimed we wouldn't have a QB. Been pretty consistent with this, not sure how folks can't have questions. Tell you what point to a post where I said we wouldn't have a QB ... I have said there is no slam dunk clear starter which is how some folks are acting. Maybe and I'm just spitballing here but Collins is the starter when August rolls around and Angeli isn't. You want to read into it more than that fine but thats on you not on me. However, no one can argue that this isn't a pivotal season for this program so if we choose to live in la la land that is a personal choice.

But can we celebrate the biggest recruit in the modern era of SU football, for just a little while?
Some folks here come off like the the guy who wins the lottery for millions, and then complains about the taxes.

You can do whatever you wish ... free country ... I'm enjoying Russell's commitment. I responded to a post about Angeli in this thread and have done nothing more then defend my position if that is a problem for you then it's on you, not sure it's all that difficult.

Russell committing here is absolutely massive and in several threads on this board the discussion of lost momentum is being had based on the outcome of this season. Russell is a big part of this massive move in momentum and I pray we keep it. Sheesh why don't you go police all the other threads since you feel so strongly LOL.
