He’s in town with his whole family. Spoke to him on quad. Asked him when he’s committing. “Not sure yet.” His mom was very nice. Mom was in Cuse attire as were some other members of the family.

I was able to meet him at the game too. Very nice guy. He came over and shook all of our hands.

Only one difference. He told me a different answer to the question. But I just think he wants us to be happy.

Saw the thread got bumped and my first thought was “if this kids on campus for the spring game…”

I’ve said it before, Russel is the guy I want most in this class. Fran is working overtime to get him. But I truly believe he is a future pro and a guy who can bring the Orange WR corps back into the national spotlight.

I doubt it happens this weekend, but my goodness it’s going to be huge for us once he pulls the trigger. (I know zero things. Just manifesting greatness through the power of Fran Brown)

Fran wields some sort of incredible power as a recruiter. If anyone could convince this future superstar to wear Orange it’s Fran.

It’s becoming increasingly more difficult not to get my hopes up that we can land Calvin.

All I know is, I would want my kid to play for Fran. Fran cares about these kids beyond football. I’m sure other coaches do too. But, there’s no BS with Fran Brown.

It’s not about previous coaches “giving up” on dudes it’s more that Fran has “IT”. Everything about Fran attracts top talent to his program.

The other coaches knew they were wasting time pursuing elite kids. Fran is so DART nothing he does is wasted time.

and in case people misinterpreted my comment, I took his "don't know yet" meaning he hasn't decided where he's going yet. But again, kids don't visit with their entire family to a spring game just to be nice to a coach. He's been on campus a number of times.

He's also quite close with one of our newest freshman, Darius Johnson and has several former teammates at Syracuse.

Sorry for being super cryptic. I was trying to say that he told me something I don't 100% believe to be true, and maybe he was trying to make us Syracuse super fans happy.

But what he told me was, "I'm coming here."

Take that with the biggest grain of salt ever, though. I really hope it becomes true!

Love this! It wouldn't surprise me in the least. We've got Fran Brown. He lives in Miami, FL and SU is in upstate NY. He made a visit here in late March 2024. He visited Nov 2nd for the VT game. He visited Nov 30th for the Miami game. And he just brought his whole family here for our spring game. That is 4 visits in a years time. We surely have to be one of the favorites.

I think you're right -- he's being nice but a lot of tea leaves are positive.
