Semi-serious question. You all have been on this board way longer than me. Is Calvin's recruitment the most mysterious one ever, or at least in recent memory? I've covered SU recruiting for 10 years; never seen anything like it.

Definitely not the “most mysterious,” but I think Ebenezer Ogundenko was a (relatively) big time recruit who we thought we were in on for a long time.

Went to Clemson and got arrested for credit card fraud.

Him picking Syracuse at this stage would be a massive shocker.

I was just coming here to bring him up! I think what made it more confusing/frustrating is that his coach or mentor was Ishaq Williams' father, a Syracuse alum himself. Same man got us twice! (IIRC both Ishaq's parents are SU alums).

Not good, it wasn’t Wiltfong which makes it a little better I guess? The guy who placed the prediction has been correct less than 75% of the time, while Wiltfong has been over 90% of the time.

We have no shot with any of these high level recruits. It's just hopium at this point on the forums. You can offer dudes the world but it's all about the money and CUSE never has or had any to compete with top programs like Michigan. Nice to dream i guess.
