Class of 2026 WR Calvin Russell (FL) Re-Offered

Soooo looking like a good shot we land this kid. Don’t think it’ll be that much longer until he commits somewhere either. Then we have our top 2 QB targets in Sidwar and Falzone. Pretty good chance we land one of the two. Both are very very good QBs. Would be a pretty good couple adds to what we already have. I have feeling we are going to finish out this class right around 25 or on the cusp. Very good early returns and we are in pretty good shape with some pretty good players. This is looking a lot like the 2024 class already and dare I say I think this one ends up a bit better when it’s all said and done

Wow, I've been kinda checked out on Syracuse sports since football season is over and basketball season hasn't started yet for some reason. This would be amazing news if it comes to fruition.
Mhmmm. We are the favorites for Russell and Sidwar right now. But both players are studs. If we do get commitments from both. We are going to have to hold onto them all the way until signing day. Some big boys really want both these guys already. Shows how good this staff is at recruiting. This 2026 class is where we are really going to start seeing Fran and staffs relationships pay dividends

Yeah, as far as I can tell, Miami is the favorite, with Syracuse, Florida, FSU, Auburn, Georgia and a few others right there, too.

I don’t know. I have no inside knowledge whatsoever but from the things I’ve read on Russel’s recruitment my take is it seems like Miami is strong and many people who don’t have any inside info assume that’s where he’ll end up as it’s the local high profile program and because his Mom is an athlete alum as well. But it also seemed like some people that may have had some first hand info seemed to think Syracuse could be in the lead at the moment.

The ones who appear to have connections for almost a year now have been pushing the watch for Syracuse with Russell.

Oh, without a doubt, Syracuse is a major player for Calvin, and he loves 'Cuse. I'm not in Calvin's inner circle, but I do talk to analysts from time to time (in football and in basketball). Whether it's Miami in the "lead," Syracuse, or some other team, that's splitting hairs to me, but Syracuse is in this thing :)
