No matter how good the culture is there exists a number that would convince him to go there. Well truly anyone to go anywhere. For some the$ might need to be just $1 more or it might need to be a hundred million dollars more. But if Miami wanted to pay him whatever the $$ he needs to pick them over us they have the option.
Hopefully it’s such a high $$ value though that they never will and he just comes to Cuse and dominates for 3 years before walking into the league as a top 10 pick and we get to celebrate him forever.

Pitino was referring that about board favorite Kadary the other day. He was talking about paying him high six figures. He said that if Seton Hall wanted to keep him they needed to spend more money.

Yes some of these kids are merceneries, see Barnes Jr, and looking to make as much money as possible for whatever the reason might be.
I have solid knowledge but I believe Fran has won some of the kids over with lesser money and most of the kids seem thankful for coming to Cuse with Fran, see McCord.
I don't believe we out bind for Diggs.

Oh don’t get me wrong an excellent culture / work environment absolutely matters. And it’s a great tiebreaker. But $$$ matters the most to the majority of people. Not everyone, but most. Here’s hoping our internal culture is so good that it’s worth it to lots of impressive kids to take a bit less money to play here.

This wouldn’t have anything to do with money. Kid doesn’t even need to chase an immediate bag. It’s more about what he gets in year two from us than anything with a freshman deal. Fran doesn’t work like that. Everything has to be earned. This would be a seismic win if we pull it off.
