Starting PR/KOR and in the WR rotation.
Redshirt sophomore Mekhi Mews has been the primary returner with a 26.8 average on 15 KOR (405yds) and a 10.3 average on 20 PR. ranked 18th nationally. also had the 69 yard TD return vs Ball State.
Started opening game of the season but was listed 3rd on depth chart for Alabama game. Caught 1 pass for 14 yards in the Alabama game.
Finished 13 for 155 and 1 TD.
I see this kid as our new Trebor Pena and would be the special teams starter PR/KOR

Mews came to Georgia as a walk-on out of Central Gwinnett High School in Georgia in the 2021 recruiting class. He redshirted in 2021 before seeing action as a reserve wide receiver and special teams contributor. In 2023, Mews caught 13 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown including a long of 54. As a kick returner, Mews averaged 26.8 yards per return with a long of 47. As a punt returner, the 5-8, 185 pounder averaged 10 yards per return with one touchdown and a long of 69 yards. He will be looking for a new home where he has the chance to carve out a larger role in an offensive system, potentially as a slot receiver.

Only 1 is locked in of course... but it would be wild to get three transfers from the same position from the same school in the same year.
This is the one I want, a Brisly Estime type of punt returner, who can change the field on returns.
