True 'dat. But the reason the food scene is so great is b/c you've got pretty much all the locavore ingredients you could ever want, which attracts an inordinate number of creative chefs. It's not JUST Portland, but pretty much anywhere near the coast.

And don't get me started on Willamette Valley pinot noirs...
