I can assure you that nobody thinks Fran is the bozo in this situation...the comments are filled with people clowing Toosii for thinking he would be a scholarship player

I'm sure there is some sort of ruth to what Toosi says. Maybe we were going to give him a scholly thinking we'd get reimbursed in other ways. There aren't really walk ons anymore right? I mean I would guess the thought is he'd probably generate some sort of NIL that would cover his scholly right?

He's a local kid and it made some sense. Almost zero chance he makes any impact on the field and Fran knows that obviously. I"m guessing Toosi said something to him in a discussion and Fran didn't like it all that much. He was probably trying to leverage something or didn't like or he didn't like our numbers at WR. Or maybe he just said i changed my mind, i'm going to LSU. If so BYE. Nobody at SU cares if he decides to not come to SU. Oher than the waste of any time spend discussing it.

And Fran didn't exactly say we weren't taking him because of the talent we have. It sounded like it was possibly falling through and essential said we have a number of other talented players and I don't know if that is going to happen. He was essentially a walk on type of player and Fran was saying no biggie. The walk on comment was a bit of dig which makes sense if it was after Toosi then changed his mind.
