wicked roster imbalance. The only departure is Riley. If Poitier commits that's 18 WR's. How many is too many?
Who are the candidates to move to DT? j/k

Competition is great, but there are only 85 roster spots.

Some players I think might walk or have.

Sharod was reportedly MIA for LVille, Duke and Wake.
RTB didn't get off the bench this season
Johnson is a walkon
Hendrix is injured
Cherry is a walkon
Barron might play defense.

We can't keep roster balance if the group isn't that good. If the new kids upgrade the position then you have to bring them in. Williams, Alford and Poitier are an immediate size upgrade.

Plus the only 2 guys catching passes are Harris, who becomes a junior and Jackson a senior. We've got to backfill them now imo.

Barron, from what I’ve heard, will be on the defensive side.

There will be transfers as well. I’ve heard a couple of names from this group that are likely going to be hitting the portal.

what are they waiting for, they cant talk to other coaches without their names being entered correct?

Correct, but the portal is really , really crowded right now and the coaching shuffle is still on going. Just because they put their name in the portal doesn't guarantee a new landing spot. Some may choose to stay and go for their degree.

There are going to be a lot of kids in that portal that no one is going to give a scholarship.

And we need to find a place for Jawar Jordan to play, can't have our most explosive player sitting on the bench until the 4th quarter. Adams and Howard will get most of the carries at running back, so slot should be Jawar Jordan.

I would not preemptively move Jordan out from running back, personally.

I think Adams is the guy, but I'm not sure Howard and Jordan are far behind.

There's room for 3 rbs to play.

Attrition will make room.

There will be plenty of opportunity for JJ to play next season. You get a playmaker like that on the field in any way possible.

Even if Barron stays on Offense which I've doubt from what has been written, he still is more likely a TE than a WR.

When I look at that group here's what I see

Jackon - senior
Johnson - senior (slot)
Harris - junior

Courtney Jackson - redshirt frosh (slot)

Jordan - junior
Queely - sophomore

everyone else

I think this is pretty accurate. The one wild card is Hendrix - *IF* he can get healthy, I think he leaps into the first group to be honest. The guy is that talented.

when you play 3-4 WR all the time the numbers get more skewed anyway.
if we were playing traditional 2 WR 1 TE 2 RB sets we would likley have 7-10 WR 2-3 TE and 5-7 RBs wouldnt we?

very true. Pretty sure Baylor and Bowling Green carried 15-17 or so wide outs.

It doesn't matter. Wr, RB heck wildcat. Kid needs 15 touches or more a game.

Yeah, he's going to need to get the ball that much every game in some combo of kick returns, rushes and receptions.
Needs to be on the field most of the game, just to force defense to account for him every down. Louisville quit kicking to him after 3 kickoffs, expect other teams to do the same.

I'd like to see both Jacksons out there with Harris and Benson. That would be a dynamic package.
