Great instincts. Very quick and fast. Strong for a little guy. Sign him up
With his size, and speed, you only need a small seam to get him in the open field.Give the guy the freaking offer. Speed to burn, and plenty of interest from some solid schools. I know they may not be entirely sure where to put him because of his size, but figure it out. If nothing else, use that ridiculous speed as a kick/punt returner to start.
I can't find the data but Kyle McIntosh couldn't have been taller than 5'7"I know it was awhile ago, but Joe Morris did ok for SU at 5'7". What about Kevin Abrams at 5'8"?
I was thinking of Kevin Abrams or Maurice Jackson/Jamel Riddle, since Eason could wind up at either CB or WR.I know it was awhile ago, but Joe Morris did ok for SU at 5'7". What about Kevin Abrams at 5'8"?
He's definitely on the radar...just haven't offered yet. The coaches are very aware of him.I don't think this kid is on the radar right?
If he just becomes an average return guy that's worth a scholly compared to what we have. Frankly I expect him to be a very good return man. We need blazing speed, offer the kid as a return specialist/athlete and get him in house. The fact he is another RW kid means he could help push kids like Aapri and Neal to us which could lead to Colon and others. He's definitely on the radar...just haven't offered yet. And they really should be. Yes, he's small (measured 5-8 without shoes at a Nike combine) but he's got blazing speed. Recruit him as an athlete and then find a spot for him later. If he's a WR/PR/KR, that's just fine with me. We need this kind of speed, and the help it'll give us in sustaining recruiting momentum in North Carolina as one of RW's close friends.

Here's the thing with Eason: the coaches may not quite know exactly where he fits into the team in terms of position, or anything else like that, so it boils down to this...
Do you take a chance on him and offer him, knowing that if you do, it gives you an ENORMOUS leg up in landing two of your priority '16 targets (Neal, Colon) and one of your top '17 targets (Aapri)? What's the worst that happens? You have a 5-9 kid who runs a 4.38 in the 40 who can help out on special teams. And if you offer him, he almost certainly commits, and between he and RW, the chances are very good you wind up with Neal, Colon, and Aapri as well. So...is it worth offering one kid you're on the fence about in order to land three you absolutely want?
