Yesterday's snowfall...

Me too. My kindergarten year. Never got a break again like that until I retired last year.
You were a young one, I was a freshman so it was a real treat.

This will end up being a historic winter, already is that one day snowfall total.

Headed up to the lake yesterday from Cuse, was so bad for the usual stretch on 81 had to get off in Pulaski. Will try and link pics from there the roadside showing nearly 10’ tall mountains of snow on the sides of the roads. 3 miles north and nothing with the one picture that is linking looking south at it all. Just a trip this “lake effect”, especially this year

we used to call it the white curtain of death . can't tell you how many times I've travelled white knuckled 15mph with zero visibility . any enjoyment you may have had from the game was quickly erased on the way home. just prayed to arrive alive.

Yes it really is beautiful there, and the people are much different there then other parts of England. That's as close as I ever got to being married. Was engaged to a wonderful young women for 2 years and got transferred to Germany when they decided to turn it over to civilians.
Distance doesn't make the heart grow fonder, makes it worse.
Never meant anyone like that again, so I stayed single.
But it always felt like home. And at Christmas all the lights are so special.
Fun fact: I once flew thru Frankfurt to Hamburg, so I can say that I was literally a Frankfurter and a Hamburger on the same day.
