You are Red

Everybody here seems to be ignoring Maj - if Eddie is hurt he deserves a shot at a bigger role.

Moore needs to be a starter or at least get starter minutes. Kid oozes talent.

Gotta question Carlos's role. Clearly, he has played his way out of the starting lineup - hope Red sees it sooner rather than later. Maybe he will do better with coming off the bench, if not he should stay on the bench. His only strength is no TOs, so maybe his role should just be lead protecting if we ever get ahead.

Bell - wow - I dont even know what to say. He has as good a form as anybody as a three point shooter. He is capable of running the floor and finishing on the break - he can back his man down and hit a turnaround deuce. So why dont those things happen more consistently ? The only progress I see in his game is improved rebounding, but he is hardly a board beast.

It is actually quite amazing that we won with three starters combining (JJ, Bell, and Carlos) for 6 from 28 and no treys.

Agreed 144% with all of this.

Red needs to bench Bell.
Point blank. Period.

Ditto for Carlos.

Bell is the biggest disappointment this season.
He showed what he could do last year, and we all expected that he’d repeat that, while hopefully rounding out his offensive game, and showing more effort on D.

He’s shown sparse glimpses of those latter things, while his shooting making shots has fallen off a cliff.
And when he’s not hitting shots, he sulks and gives zero effort anywhere else.

Jyare should get Bell’s starting minutes.
He and Donnie can switch off who is the 3 and the 4 -
not like that really even matters.

I wouldn’t even mind seeing a 3 guard lineup w JJ, Choppa, Taylor, since at least that’s 3 people who have diverse skill sets and put effort into playing D.

Anybody hating on Dry Rub just isn’t a fan.
Dude is a warrior.

He clearly didn’t do that last night. Bell/Carlos played 18-19 minutes.
We'll see. After seeing him about to yank Donnie 2 minutes into the second while ready to leave Carlos and Bell on the floor I don't think it's fair to question what Red is doing.

He is clearly going with the hot hand which is great, but until there are consistent changes I won't buy it. If he trusted freshman it wouldn't have taken until game 6 to make a change.

Do you think Carlos is starting next game? I bet he does.

1 - JJ
2 - Moore
3 - Bell
4- Freeman
5 - Lampkin

Heavy minutes for Davis, Cuffe, Petar, and Taylor

Go with hot hands and sit cold ones or those only playing at one end of the court.
I agree with this. Unlike others I do think Bell will have some good nights. If he doesn't or continues his weirdness, he is the next one to remove from the starting lineup.

I just don’t think starting matters. I think red knows that JJ and Choppa are better off the ball. I’m just praying Westry gets back….

I remember the Donnie near yank and I’m ok with it. He didn’t rotate and Red is harping that…the rotations are slowly improving. Donnie saw Petar and made a play to make up for it and Red pulled him back. If he could ever figure out how to use his body on O, Donnie would be unstoppable

Donnie is clearly figuring it out. I expect him to continue on the trajectory of what we saw last night. He needs to be a focal point moving forward.

I'd go Taylor with JJ. Moore first and only guard off bench. Eddie, Freeman and Bell with Davis, Petar, McLeod off bench. Minutes split based on who's engaged.

People love McLeod. He’s our Ethan Cole

I think you prioritize developing the players that will be here next year - Moore, JJ, and Petar - and try to do some interesting things with Donnie so he has as good of an experience as he can.
Problem is you don’t know who will be here next year. It’s the Wild Wild West years of college athletics.

I don’t care what stage of Mono/Long Covid/Bubonic Plague recovery Westry is at, start the man for Carlos & run from there (even if his spleen may explode with physical contact)… hit Tennessee with the okie doke!

If we start Moore with Bell, perhaps it will help and make it easier for Bell with another shooter on the floor. Moore moves around on the perimeter and doesn't sit in a corner like Bell.

I think that is our best lineup, much as I don’t feel comfortable with JJ playing point. But in modern bball, 3 point shooting is a must, and playing Bell and Moore gives us our best offense. We’re not beating anyone with our defense no matter who plays, and Davis and Taylor, while solid defensively are just brutal from 3. I’d like to see Cuffe get more time, and Carlos has clearly played his way out of major minutes.

Face facts. As I said elsewhere, waiting for Westry is like Waiting for Godot, with about the same chance of ever seeing him.

We've got some good pieces, and with Moore emerging, it would be interesting to add a healthy Westry to the mix. Can things fall neatly and nicely into place for us? It's been a long time and we are overdue for a blessing like this.

Also, with two shooters that must be guarded closely, JJ can get to the basket with ease and either finish or dish. JJ is a much better finisher and decision maker going to the basket than Judah (not trying to knock Judah again, just making a point) as he's demonstrated so far this season.
