Imagine this still being a take.
Of course it matters when you are down 10 every game.
Anyone that says starting doesn’t matter is just parroting a PR line.

We are not down 10 because of 1 starter lolImagine this still being a take.

It is a gloomy prediction, isn’t it? Well, when was he first hurt? The second or 3rd game? Does he have some kind of leg injury as well as a bad back? He has deteriorated. I sit behind the bench (but in third tier) and he had a back brace on and couldn’t even sit down. This was before he went in to play.I don't see how you can say that?
People love McLeod. He’s our Ethan Cole
I can't say that I really understand bringing in mid major seniors unless you have a really specific need due to injury or an unexpected late departure.
If you think they are going to greatly improve your squad or they are best you can get...well, I'm not sure which is more worrying.
Backs are rough. I hurt mine years back and it took a while. You know what really helped. Acupuncture. It is a gloomy prediction, isn’t it? Well, when was he first hurt? The second or 3rd game? How does a back heal? And how can it heal if you keep straining it and re-injuring it? I am asking the question and don’t know the answer. I think he brings so much good energy to the team and some unique skills but he sure is hurting.
I think I remember you mentioning that!Backs are rough. I hurt mine years back and it took a while. You know what really helped. Acupuncture.
petar cannot cover centers...but thats how red is going to use him (at times, apparently)Petar needs to be in the rotation. He’s our best front court defender.

Except that he fouls anything that moves, or looks like it’s thinking about moving, yeah.petar cannot cover centers...but thats how red is going to use him (at times, apparently)
No one is questioning his heart. The guy spent a lot of time in the off season making videos and it's apparent that he didn't spend much time on conditioning. Poor conditioning leads to injuries and doesn't show much dedication.
So buf for those videos he'd have had more time to work out. Got it.No one is questioning his heart. The guy spent a lot of time in the off season making videos and it's apparent that he didn't spend much time on conditioning. Poor conditioning leads to injuries and doesn't show much dedication.
I don't have a problem with it.Except that he fouls anything that moves, or looks like it’s thinking about moving, yeah.
Carlos starting isn’t why we have struggledThe “it doesn’t matter who starts” is a trope from JB’s final years. It’s embarrassing to still root out. It also proves Red is just an extension of wasn’t working.
Haha yeah noHe blocks a ton of shots per minute played.
He also makes mistakes, lots of them.
But he's at least as good as Jeremy McNeil ever was.
I don't have a problem with it.
I couldn't disagree with this more. It's a BIG part of it. It explains the slow starts. It's hard to win 4 on 5 and when someone is getting that many minutes and not contributing that is what you're effectively doing.Carlos starting isn’t why we have struggled
Yeah, call me a snob, but I'd rather take guys that want more PT than they are getting at other P4 schools, like Cuffe. Mid majors are dangerous to play because they often have guys that while they aren't as big or athletically gifted as bigger schools' players, they have been playing together and in the same system for a few years. This is what the portal has created. Players don't stay at 1 school if they aren't playing.
They are being advised to find a place they can play and develop their skills. Then move up the ladder. All these big programs are doing it.
If he started and played 1 minute we’d be a better team. If he came off the bench and played 25 we would not. See the difference?I couldn't disagree with this more. It's a BIG part of it. Ehhh, this isn’t true. There have been a lot of players that dominated at MM who have had great years at HM.Yeah, call me a snob, but I'd rather take guys that want more PT than they are getting at other P4 schools, like Cuffe. Taking seniors out of those situations is the worst of both worlds. You get dudes who didn't have the gifts to get recruited more highly and take them out of the situation that allows them to compete with and beat those that did. Put them in a new system with all new teammates and ask them to play against Texas, North Carolina, Tennesse, and Duke. It's not a recipe for success, only you really downshift your definition of success. Which, TBF, it's starting to sound like the school has done.
EasyyyyyyyFreshmen Rony & Etan nod their heads knowingly in agreement.
There's always exceptions, but I think it's generally true.Ehhh, this isn’t true. There have been a lot of players that dominated at MM who have had great years at HM.
You’re using one guy on our roster as an example. MM who dominated at that level generally have performed better than P5 players that have sat the bench. Those P5 players sitting the bench often times go to MM or LM schools. Look where our guys went. Look at teams that have been successful the past couple of years. There's always exceptions, but I think it's generally true.
