Your starting to see Fran and his assistants get exposed for a lack

Unfortunately not anywhere near definite. It was 31-3 in the fourth. They let up in the 4th and we got garbage time points that made it closer. If we score more early, they had time to respond.
You can argue that we out played them the 1st Q. Then it fell apart in the 2nd Q. Even the 3rd Q then did nothing.

I never remember being blown away by Doug's in-game coaching skills. There were times he was just maddeningly conservative. I vaguely remember a game in the season finale against BC in 2010 when we punted down two scores with like five minutes left.

The bar was so low expectations wise back then because of who came before him. And yes he was very conservative

What in game decisions cost us two games...which two?Don't say the decision to not run out the clock in the Pitt game...Our offense can't score... that isn't directly Fran's fault. No one talked about his in game decisions or his coaching when we won 10 games last year...I think this questioning of Fran's coaching is BS! Talented players win game! Who among us would disagree that if we had a good QB playing right now, we would have won some more games.
Rush 3 drop back 8 but don't double cover future NFL receiver that everyone knew was getting the ball on the final 4th down vs. Stanford last year.

Makes you wonder what LSU saw in that kid.
He is very athletic and has a great arm. If the mental part develops, that is a high quality QB package. I see him dropping down a level and become pretty successful with the right offensive scheme/less pressure/less defensive skill. And maybe he gets to pop back to P4 for his final season.

A player with athleticism and a great arm with a good frame. Someone that if you can help develop the mental aspect which includes accuracy needed to be a QB, you could open up the playbook more than those without the athleticism and arm since more throws can be made. As bad as he has looked, I can see why he was a 4 star and recruited to LSU. A comparison I would make is he is our football version of Benny Williams so far. Has all the physical traits you want, but mentally can't perform on the big stage. I still have hope we have a better ending with Rickie.

A lot of examples of that. Everyone's high school video looks amazing. And if coaches see something like a nice arm, they think they can coach them up on the other stuff.

I think Rickie is battling a confidence problem on the field, and it's hard to determine that from film or even conversation.

Accuracy issues are difficult to correct or, unfortunately, overcome. Nerves could be compounding his throwing mechanics issues. But, I don't have a lot of faith based on his performance to date that his accuracy will improve enough to make him effective at this level.

Well we got a commit today from a Penn State decomit that’s the 28th ranked DL in the class of 2026, per Axe.

So clearly the frauds have been exposed and recruiting is collapsing.
Well in fairness don’t think he said frauds, just the lack of experience is showing at times. Like the end of the first half gaffe, even Fran essentially admitted as such

Has anyone said that recruiting is collapsing
