Your starting to see Fran and his assistants get exposed for a lack

If Fran is such a fraud why are people acting like we are one of the best programs in the nation?

Right...because he is not.

His starting QB went down. Sorry he did not tell yall the truth on Rickie in the off-season.

Do you really want him to go out and bash the kid?

Some of the posters in here need to get a grip.

We are in year two of a never before head coach. These coaching mistakes are going to happen. I expect them to improve

I would LOVE to see 90% of this board coach a P4 program. I bet the decision making and time management would be PERFECT lol.

Fran hit on 2 of 3 QB's he brought in through the portal... It's the CNY way to just look at the negative and be pessimistic, not sure why, but born and raised here, it is what it is.

Fran and his guys are doing great. We lost a really good qb and we are struggling with the backup. Someone just said we are 2 outta 3 with qb and they are 1000 percent correct. U ain’t gonna hit a great percentage of them. You carry 4-5 qbs and 3-4 don’t play so actual hitting numbers would be 20 to 25 percent overall. We made a bad decision and now Fran learns from it. Look at him getting Don Brown. He ain’t no dummy.

Fran is awesome man! He addressed everything I had concerns with about the QB position. Addressed that if Luke was ready given how Rickie has played, he would have put him in. Love that. He stated again he’s doing what’s best for the S

It was obvious.

When Rickie struggles, the talk around Luke gets louder. That's just how backup QBs go. We had posts calling for Rickie when Steve was struggling

Theres a lot of realness to Fran but that doesn't mean he won't use coach speak as well. Steve is clearly head and shoulders above Rickie and Luke, but I believe the gap between Rickie and Luke isn't as vast

My outlook on the year is just get these young dudes experience, fight in every game, and maybe steal a few wins

I honestly would like to refrain from being negative about a perceived phenomena that is in a negative light, that being upstate New York and apparent negativity surrounding the region. However I cannot refrain. That is so true and it is ridiculous. I honestly think this region is so old not necessarily chronologically but in mindset it is literally pervasive. And I am not that old and I love living here by the way. You can have a medical degree and sort of move where you want, I want to live where I was born and raised I feel this is where I am supposed to be. I also did my undergraduate work at this university and it was literally transformative and so fun. The people in upstate New York need to really realize what they have, we have Four Seasons, it is beautiful here, real estate is definitely gotten more pricey but it is still behind the curve. Tremendous place to raise a family. I love Syracuse and Upstate New York. And by the way I think what you describe effects our fan base exponentially and people pick up on it who were not raised here and come here. So many people are like yuck. Seriously a great place to live, Syracuse and upstate New York is a blessed place, yes!

It really starts with a mindset of positivity, it truly is medicine. You don't deny reality but you make the best of all situations. Sort of really trying hard to treat yourself like we would want others to treat our children and then giving it away. We will fall but definitely get back up. In any event I see what I believe is Ogdensburg in your name. By the way One of my first jobs out of Med school was practicing up north in the Star Lake area, Clifton Fine area. Close to Canton NY and a little down the road Ogdensburg. It was a tremendously rich time up there as well. We got a great state filled with all kinds of people and good things. Extremely grateful for my time up there... Blessing

Correct. Lived in Ogdensburg for my working career. Loved camping up and down the St Lawrence during the summers. Still do. Moved to Fayetteville shortly after retirement. Best thing we ever did. Love the area, love Finger Lakes and ADK camping. Love CNY. Lots of good people In Ogdensburg, but sadly, there is nothing there to keep the younger people around. City is dying a slow death

Look I spent 4 years in the service few places in the states , spent some time in Europe nice ti visit wouldn't live there spent 3 weeks traveling around the country in 1984 to bowl 2 days in Reno. Been to a number of different cities in National bowling tournaments. The only place outside of here that I would like to live is Corpus Cristy in Texas. Went to a national bowling tournament there and a lot of the people who ran the tournament came from upstate ny.

It was a very underserved area when I was there 15+ years ago, that is why I was there serving a medical commitment in the NHSC. I know lots of variables. Opportunities limited, I wish we were more forward thinking in so many ways... I trust for Syracuse and surrounding communities for sure. Obviously still wanted to think of the realities of a lot of situations, while still thinking positively and certainly forward thinking. Important. TY
