Of experience on a weekly basis, need more adults in the room. One week it’s the offense next week it will be the defense etc. the lack of situational awareness at the end of the 1st half was worse than anything I’ve ever seen from any head coach at Syracuse.

Like I said, this staff is a bunch of sales guys trying to run the engineering department. Just not enough coaching acumen on the staff.

I truly believe Fran is over his head and will continue to be exposed.

I don’t disagree with most.. But Dino was epically bad at the end of half and end of game situations. And there’s loads of evidence there.

Respectfully, you are out of line. This year was always going to be rough. Right now talent acquisition is priority 1, 2, and 3. I don’t care about OJT and in process screw ups. They are an Achilles away from faking it to 10-3 and 7-5 seasons out of the gate.

Big picture, it will be fine.
 
Wazzou ran inside out of a shotgun set from their own 1...how do you call that? How do you not have an under center set?

Dino Babers also won 10 games and had everyone singing his praises. In hindsight seems like that season was all Eric Dungey. Good QB play can hide a lot of flaws. Run game and defense were not good last year and it didn’t matter because we had Kyle McCord and the team we were going against did not.
 
Brown is a corny goof who makes weird decisions, like tonight and in the Stanford game last year

But I don't care as long as he gets QBs and throws all the time. That works.

We should all just turn off the season because they're going 4-8 with backup QB. We aren't ever going to have a good backup now

So yes he's kinda dopey and it doesn't matter much when we have QB and it really doesn't matter much when we don't

No it wasn’t. More myth bs. Devito won FSU and UNC. The defense was really good situationally, and the run game was excellent.

Yup I agree with this. 2 major priorities for Syracuse every year is a QB and an offensive coordinator that will throw it around the Dome. That is it. If we do that, we will be entertaining and usually always in a bowl. Every year, what the NIL budget is I would use it to bring the best QB in I could get. Let them put up video game numbers and hopefully get them drafted. That is the blueprint.

I'm willing to entertain your main point, but this last sentence is maybe the most hyperbolic thing I've seen on this site.

Both benefitted from experienced teams, but Fran gets credit for bringing in McCord and Meeks. We don't have McCord without Fran.

Right now, without Angeli, we're obviously a really young team on the offensive side of the ball. Now we can see why Fran was hammering in the point of Steve having control of the huddle. The offense needed leadership and he left a huge, gaping hole. It doesn't matter now, but we easily have 2 more wins if Angeli didn't go down. That was a gut punch. If the fans felt it, you can only imagine how the team reacted.

Back to Fran vs Babers. I think the culture Fran is trying to build is real. DART > Ohana. He just needs leaders from the team, something he also mentioned. You don't lose Kyle, Meeks, LeQuint, Marlowe, Diggs, and just replace the leadership that comes from the team. I couldn't tell you right now who the leaders are on the team? Offense or defense, but at least Fran knows the 2 areas that need to be fixed and I don't think coaching can do that other than trying to instill confidence, which he's obviously gone above and beyond with Ricky. Again, it's a young team, but it could be a copycat approach you can take from Cignetti and bring in portal guys who are captains at lower levels, or team leaders. I don't think the kids will quit on Fran like they seemingly did with Dino on multiple occasions.

You can’t just think these losses don’t matter and we’re building for the future. Every year is going to be drastically different as long as these players have the option to leave. So “acquiring talent” just won’t be easy if your winning 3-4 games. Hell it wasn’t that easy after winning 10!!

You also need a serviceable backup QB. Not necessarily a stud. Just someone who can come in and manage the offense and win you some games. If you don’t have that you can’t be taken seriously as a program or a coaching staff

Well said. I can see where the NIL money must go in the offseason -- QB room, DL, OL.

I'd take a good back-up QB, a pass rusher and a stud interior OL more than another WR right now.

What is this take. We won 10 last year, momentum on the recruiting trail. Kyle McCord leaves after being the top passing single season QB in SU and ACC history and Rickie is meh in Spring? OK let's scoop Angeli out of the portal. Check. Beef the staff by bringing in Josh Gattis and others to protect succession. Check. Peña leaves? OK scoop Johntay Cook. Check. Wait, a 5 star receiver from Miami? Scoop him too. Check.

So we're struggling right now. Check. Young staff. Check. They arent over their heads. They're being tested. And long term, I trust where we're headed.
