No luck for me if I looked in the right place and I'm pretty sure I did.

I just checked. I didn't either. I had gotten the last one during the Disney/ESPN shutdown.
I looked again just now after I read this new article and found the 6 month discount. So you may want to check one more time.

Thanks for the tip! I just checked. No, not there. Congrats! Did you get it the first time in the Fall?

I did not get it in the fall. The only thing I have gotten is the $20 reduction during the Disney dispute.

I might have just missed it earlier this week when I checked. I was looking for a banner at the top of the page to smack me in the face :) But it's one of the options under Settings>Manage Plan along with Pause or Cancel.

Finally cut the cord...went with DirectTV stream for now given some channel differences with YouTube TV. But being able to switch easily is nice.

Took me a good 20 minutes just to cancel my cable subscription as they kept offering every deal imaginable. "Why weren't you this responsive when I had numerous issues over the past year that you never fixed?" No answer to that one.

Luckily I had an alternative fiber provider for Internet. So far, better speed and no issues on the TV front.

Let me guess you had Spectrum.

This worked for me. You're all right in my book, I don't care what FloridaCuse says about you.

When I canceled Fios (but kept their internet), I expected the same thing. But nope, they said we understand here's your internet price. Which was way less than I thought it would be when I removed TV.

Couldn't have been easier.

That was going to be my guess also :) Their retention team has all sorts of offers!
I recently dropped Spectrum and I waited to make the call until I was driving somewhere so the twenty minute long (25 actually) call was just part of my commute.

For that reason alone I may never go back to Spectrum

Thanks, MSO. I just checked and the discount has not there. So, I decided to refresh the page and the 6 month discount appeared.

They are the worst and once they bought out certain companies, it went downhill while their rates increased. Then trying to find the channels with and without SD/HD and this D and that D is ridiculous. I will never EVER go back to them.
