Yeah, you did; I even bolded it in my initial response for what we all knew would be another round of prevarications, denials, and pussyfooting around. I applaud the program for the way they are protecting their own, despite what some folks in the fanbase think they are entitled to know. Work with some student athletes in the academic setting and you might understand that it's not all NIL $, chicks, and fame. These kids need some shelter, especially if they are having issues in their personal lives.

You seem like an okay poster on other topics, but you need to start looking at this from a human rather than marketing perspective. There are much bigger things in life for these kids than just SU football. That Fran seems to genuinely care about those aspects are what make him so special.

This might be one of those conversations that, if in person, would sound a lot different. I can see that your heart is probably in the right place here but it's just coming out the wrong way. I'm a bit sensitive to this kind of thing since I have worked with student athletes, both at a couple of FBS schools and at the D2 level, that have really struggled with things. It's actually kind of amazing how similar the stresses are at both levels, even in the NIL era.
