Zeed Status?

Ooh, Brent Axe, man of wisdom, has spoken. Whatever. I can believe this news but he still sucks
Brent shared some of his conversation with Kyle McCord about Zeed. Nothing definitive but it is pay material for now from his $3.99 a month text service. I will say he is very responbsive on that service and if he doesn't know an answer he will dig into it for you. Some of the questions he asks at the Monday pressers come directly from that service.

Not really worrying about Zeed's 2028 eligibility status right now. I doubt Coach Fran is either. If Zeed is healthy, in football shape and in good standing with the program he will play again this year. If not, he won;t.
I agree, my post was about the need for any of the info about his absence to be public knowledge.

Understood. I have a habit of reading through posts chronologically and just hitting reply arbitrarily. Should probably build the discipline to scroll back to the most relevant post but us old retired guys still haven't figured out all this newfangled technology!

Do people actually do that? Read through an entire thread, then go back to specific posts to respond? I’d lose my mind.

So you are paying Axe $3.99 to do his job. Nice

I dont think anyone expects a public hearing. I just hope they are willing to provide details when asking for a waiver. They cant just say "family matter"
What is wrong with you?

Just saying "family matter" should have been the end for you but you want Fran to come out and say something like "one of his parents has cancer"? Would that be good enough for you? Or you'd want to know what type of cancer? What stage?

Just accept it and move on.

I dont need any more details at all. I haven't speculated once in this thread. I have merely statement that information vacuums get filled with speculation and that statement of fact has upset people. I'm not saying I endorse of even like that it happens. But it does.

Secondarily, I made the point that if they want a waiver they likely will have to provide more details. Again, statement of fact. That's all.

Did he make you sign an NDA? ;)

It will be a rubber stamp. The reason is more than valid believe me

If there is a waiver that would allow him to recover some of his eligibility, it would not be public information.

You have made it very clear that you have an axe to grind over the program not making all of Zeed's private business public. He's a kid, it's super weird, and you really need to get over it.

100% no axe to grind w the program.
But I also don't have an axe to grind with people who do what people do in this social media age when there is an information vacuum.

The University has done nothing wrong here. I completely understand why they are protecting his privacy.

Frankly, I didnt even bring that back up. I was merely talking about this new potential piece of info and the prospects of a waiver

I do believe you. Not talking about what I believe
Yeah, you kindda of are talking about what YOU believe when you state that it is a "fact" that the "information vacuum gets filled with speculation." I think many here understand that the kid and his family are entitled to and deserve confidentiality and that the university is obligated to protect that confidentiality. We might be curious, but we understand the confidentiality requirements and leave it at that. Filling vacuums with speculation is something you choose to do, it is not a universal imperative that everybody must or will act that way.

I'm not filling anything with anything. I haven't speculated one bit what happened during that time. I accept it was a family emergency.

If you dont believe it is human nature to fill information vacuums with human nature, then I don't know what to tell you. The social media age was largely built on this fact.

Hell, these forums were too.
