In 4-6 years if Chesney does well, a power conference job will be there for him.

He lost a TON of talent at Holly Cross this year. He may be moving on because next year would have been a down year for the program and it may take a while to get more D1 looks. He was my 3rd choice, so I think he is more than capable. But it also may be best to move to another program in D1 and show everyone that you can do just as good in D1. And from everything I have heard JMU has fantastic resources. But it is out of his normal territory.

Even if BC comes calling, I’m sure he wouldn’t turn it down

One bad year for HC and Chesney might lose the chance to move up to FBS completely.

JMU is probably fine with cycling through coaches should they each give them 10 win seasons prior to moving on. His QB should join him and do well there.

I’d say closer to 2-3. JMU is basically a turnkey program it’s athletic department and fans/alums seem very invested plus it’s a great location to recruit to being in the DMV (campus/harrisonburg is a beautiful stop off I-81 FYI)
