The were just talking about JB on Fox, saying that "He's changed his demeanor and how he relates to the players. He's kept an even keel".

Really?

He is de meaner than he used to be
I think they are saying he has been de-meaned (less mean) :)

I do see a difference in press conferences though he still has no issue calling out players individually during them. He is usually spot on but I was never a fan of doing public shaming.

Guess you have to fill time somehow.

Just to be clear, I think this is basically BS and just fodder to kill the minutes needed.

BUT BUT BUT, I do think people are going to continue to comment on JB way more this year now that the team is down **again** and his retirement is in question.

I think there's a noted effort/improvement from JB this season during timeouts or when players are coming off the court. JB doesn't rip into players like he's done in the past (not saying it hasn't happened, it was probably deserved). He's much calmer and talks more instead of yelling at players. JB has also been less critical to date of players during press conferences.

I hear he gets his anger out on the golf course these days. Swans, beware!

Sorry for this bit of necromancy, all. There may have been some Nyquil involved.

Real story:

In my college years, I had a summer job at the Turning Stone Casino Golf Courses from 03-05. Somewhere in that time JB was one of the people who got to play the new, PGA level course before it was even open.

I was pretending to water newly laid sod or some BS, and watched Jim miss a put. He reacted like he did when Kueth Duany was late on a rotation or something, kinda choke grabbing the club and looking notably ticked off, and then he took the same putt like 10 times in a row. That guy was not playing around out there.

Drove past him in my Gator with another worker or two, while he was driving in his golf cart and gave him the downward nod and said “coach”, he nodded and said “course looks good, guys.”

Great stuff.

This is exactly what a sinister hunter-killer robot fashioned to look like JB would say.
