It’s early, but really impressed with Devo’s announcing

They had the normal radio team (Parks and Satalin) do the second exhibition game on ACCNX. Jim spent most of the broadcast corrrecting things Matt said.

Awkward.

Guessing it was so bad they realized they couldn’t do that any longer.

Personally, I would much prefer one of the Newhouse kids to do play by play and have Devo (or Matt Roe, Ryan Blackwell or some other former player) do the color for the remaining home games on ACCNX.

The Newhouse kids do a fine job with play by play. They aren‘t as good doing color.

Eric was right about Judah’s play. Steve Infanti was right about Eric being a good broadcaster too.

Eric did a very good job last night. Who notices when an announcer does well? Pretty rare compared to the alternative.

He was spot on with his assessments of players and situational awareness. And he was dead nuts right about Judah and his strengths and weaknesses, especially his rope a dope defense. Very refreshing.
