We're having a crap year, we're playing a crap team, and the NFL playoffs are on. And yet it looks like at least 20k people (I didn't see the official attendance yet) were in the Dome today, and they were very lively and into it. The place went nuts after that late Lydon dunk when we were up 20. Very, very few programs fans are like ours.

Because we play in such a large building, I think we underestimate how uniquely awesome we are.

Thank you.

To get that view of Cheriehoop and Jim of course 20K people will go.

Didn't someone run a dramatic article on how bad attendance would be, a few weeks ago? Almost positive I read that in Syracuse.com. Which moron was responsible for that one?

So we had about 18,000 more people than Rutgirls has at their home games.

Wait, this was a post actually praising the fans!?!?

Well, Carolina is one of the best this year and they will not fill the Dean Dome Monday. Capacity 21,750.

We would have tight to 30,000 in the Dome if they were in town.

Well, that's what happens when a good team visits, instead of a crappy team. Are you surprised?

I was at the game tonight...a friend of mine scored some free tickets, Sec 213, pretty good seats. So off I went. I was shocked, shocked at how large and vocal the crowd was. It's almost as if people are still coming out and holding onto some hope that we can salvage this season. 21k+? On a night where there were NFL playoff games? Against a crappy (but scrappy) opponent in BC? Shocking. I don't know what was more shocking to me, the size of the crowd or how loud they stayed throughout the game, breaking out in chants of "defense" and "LGO" multiple times in the second half while we were up 15+ points.

Hope they keep it up. The students coming back should provide a boost too.

I thought the dome is a morgue. Or so I've heard on here for years.

The town is a hole, they should have 50k there every game. Please give me one other thing to do in the winter other than to watch a Cuse game.
