Makes sense. The kid did have a hell of a year throwing the ball last season.

Anyone knows the caliber of his competition last year? If we don't get him I would just as soon pick up Mark Michaud. I personally like him as well as Rose , maybe even better. He run good routes and has a great pair of hands.

Competition is decent, middle of the road, but his team, Southington, is very good.

As far as I know, we're looking at him pretty much exclusively as a TE. Part of the reason he may wind up at UConn is that they're the only school recruiting him as a QB.

A couple months back he is quoted as saying we are recruiting him at both the tight end and quarterback positions. Bring him in and see where his best fit is.
