What are K and B thinking?! You should never play future Olympic opponents in exhibitions. Giving China 2 shots at scouting and game planning against us? I guess we still have a chance as long as Hop is scouting the Chinese looking for trends and weaknesses. As I feared China's 5 centers are giving us fits, too much depth. I hope we figure out a way to stop Jianlian or it could be a long trip home from Rio.

Maybe Team USA should go with an all guard lineup. Per the box score we could suit up: Durant, George, Thompson, Derozen and Irving. 6'9", 6'8", 6'7", 6'7", 6'3"...that'd work. Geez I hope K and B are on top of this stuff, thank goodness Hop is there to make sure.

I like how the author tries to play this up as "rich Americans living it up" when if he has followed the many, many issues with the Olympic Village could easily come to the conclusion this is more out of safety than luxury. But, that aside, this isn't really anything new to the basketball team so not sure why it warrants an article by NPR.
