William Reynolds was a boyishly handsome but with a lot of screen presence, a strong voice and a lot of acting talent who never made it big back in the 60's. The whole thing is on Paramount TV if you are a subscriber. Also a radio version done years later without Reynolds is on You-Tube, which does have some clips from the original in separate posts. here's one of the clips:
"On February 12, 1960, Reynolds and Richard L. Bare were injured when a plane, flying back to Miami after a filming of The Islanders, crashed in the Caribbean Sea.[1] Reynolds suffered several broken ribs and broke his right ankle. The pair, along with two others, survived after swimming four miles to the coast of Jamaica."
I've read an interview with Reynolds in which he said that he and Bare, while swimming, recalled that 'The Purple testament' was to be shown that night and each of them told the other that they didn't see any purple light. That didn't show up until 2022 for Reynolds.
