JB talking like were 5 games into the season. He is all over Brandon and the Centers.

Did anyone ask about his sub patterns or his team's shot selection?

No, lot of questions about Triche. Currently going off on the difficulty of SU's schedule, saying we have the toughest by far.

No options! Can't have only 3 guards on the team! ever!!!
Cooney could have played more than he did. JB must take responsibility that these loses are on him. If you get credit for the good you must do the same for the bad. JB hasn't got the job done.

So he's not screaming that we wouldn't have won ten games without Brandon?

The main problem right now is Boeheim's reluctance to play, and trust, Cooney. Imagine McNamara's growth being stunted because he had to sit behind a legacy recruit.

Cooney is a liability on offense, but then so is half the team. His defense has proven more than adequate all season. I see no legitimate reason not to give him more of a chance.

Imagine if Cooney could hit an open 3-pointer with some consistency then maybe he would have played more? when you are recruited to be a shooting guard with range, shooting 27.9% from 3-point land isn't going to get you playing time

In '03 the only two true guards we had were McNamara and Edelin.
Pace and Duany were both guards they weren't pg's but they were guards! We have one PG one combo guard, and one 2g. Plus that team had a forward who can dribble...#15 can't remember his name...but he was pretty good!

Why? He doesn't even dribble against the press?

Look up McNamara's freshman stats. He had numerous games where he was awful shooting. He also had numerous games where he was great shooting. Cooney never gets playing time so we'll never know just how good or bad he is.

and yet he kept him in...what a clown

More personal animus based on your underlying conviction that this program has "been dirty too long"?

We'll just have to trust the HOF coach and assistant coaches who see him every day in practice.

That's the way it works.

Because hall of fame coaches can never be wrong?

HOF coaches can be wrong.

And Internet forum posters who have zero coaching experience and who are watching the game on TV can be right.

But not usually.

It's much easier to judge someone's physical state if you see them exert themselves every day and are standing next to them

I think when you compare Cooney to Gmac you lose any type of credibility. Also when say that JB should play player A like HE did with player B maybe HE KNOWS player A is no where as good as player B and it is not that he is UNWILLING to make decision that he has made it the pass.

We should at least get a better product sample considering the guys ahead of him are 29.1% and 28.6% from 3. Cooney hasn't shot that badly in games where A) he takes more than 2 shots and B) plays more than 10 minutes.

No one would expect a player to shoot well with consistency when his minutes have no consistency.

If the plan for for Cooney to shoot 35% in three-minuts bursts during the first half of some games, the coaching staff really took a gamble.
