We win the ACC Tournament

I feel like we have to beat BC and Clemson to have a chance. If that doesn't happen, the selection committee will just point to our 8-10 or 7-11 record and just dismiss us by saying we are under .500 (rightfully so, at least for this season).

If we do manage to win both, we probably need 1 more ACCT win, unless we get the 10 seed and play Pitt in the first round. If that were to happen we probably need to beat Pitt and whoever winds up as the #7 seed. If we lose to the #7 seed, we'll be sweating it on selection Sunday.

Not saying we couldn't get in being under 500. But its a huge flaw on a resume if you can't go 500 in your league esp us this year considering we didn't have a tough acc schedule.

It's not just the fact that we'd potentially be under .500, but also the fact that our marquee wins are Miami, Virginia Tech, and Louisville. Three good wins, no doubt, but we are missing that marquee win. Clemson could be that win for us to solidify us, in which case we could conceivably go 8-10 and still have a chance. A team like Oklahmoa has beat Wichita St., TCU twice, Kansas, and Texas Tech. That gives them more leeway with the number of losses since they have the high caliber wins.
