You can't say last year doesn't count and then also use it as a barometer for improvement. So where is the major improvement? vs 2019? Are our losses closer than 2019? Sure, but we were also 5-7 that year. W/L wise we are in a tough spot to catch that team.

Exactly. We've read 100s of times that last year was an asterisk. Then don't use it as a measure of improvement either.

We did this last week. When would you have fired him? Can’t win, except for the time we beat #2 Clemson and won ten games the next year?

He may not be the guy going forward, but there was never a time after a season where moving on made a lick of sense. And it’s still not definitive that he *can’t* win this year. Team is light years better than most thought.

Your post is ludicrous. Sure SU beat #2 Clemson then went on to lose the next five games to close out the season. In addition, it is very apparent that the 10 win season was mostly due to Dungey improvising many plays. The defense was actually good in 2020 so most here are not that surprised they are even better. The offense only looked better after Dino had to swallow his pride and put in GS over Tommy.

I am not the AD I shouldn’t have to explain this to him.
He should know it. It’s not hard to figure out.

Which is why if the excuse coming out of the AD is we can’t afford to make a change then they are telling us IMO we are cheap and don’t care about winning keep giving us your money though.

I'm with you... A buyout is never ideal, but we should be able to manage 10 mil creatively.
