Any small chance michigan st had of snagging a 1 just went out the window, big 10 aint getting a 1 seed now. The only question now is duke or north carolina, whoever wins acc tourny will get a 1, loser a 2.

Kentucky
Syracuse
Kansas
Duke/North Carolina

Michigan St
Ohio St
Missouri
Duke/North Carolina

I think Mizzou can get a #1 if they beat Kansas (and only Kansas) in the Big 12 championship game. Not sure if that would bump KU down to a #2, regardless of what happens in the ACC.

Right you got the top 8 seeds and the question now is does the Committee put Kentucky in the Midwest and put the ACC champ in Atlanta and move Kansas out West or does the committee ship the ACC champ out West and have Kentucky in the Atlanta and Kansas in St. Louis?

Mark my words... I guarantee Michigan St is our #2. Book it, and I dont like it

Kentucky will get the #1 seed in the South. KU (or Mizzou per above) will get the #1 in the Midwest. ACC champ travels.

meh, much better than having NC as our #2
(and I honestly think it will be Dook, anyway)

Neither would I. Or Mizzou, for that matter.

That said, if MSU wins the Big 10 tourney, I think that puts them in the Midwest or West. The West bracket will have the best #2 seed, unless the #1 is from the same conference.

Kansas finished 2 full games ahead of missouri in the standings, and missouri's rpi is 13. Even if they win the big 12 tourny i dont think its enough to get a 1.

You would have to think ACC goes out west, but you could make a case for each situation. No matter which regional they put Kentucky in they would be Fri/Sun as the East and West regionals are Thursday/Saturday. Not that TV would ever come into play.

Mizzou only has four losses and it would be their second win over KU. They have non-conference wins over ND and Cal.

Williams' teams are always stacked.
yep and he's won 2 championships since '05
(not a Roy fan whatsoever, just don't want SU to see his team this year before the f4)

E1 - SU
E2 - Duke

M1 - KU
M2 -OSU

S1 - UK
S2 - Mo

W1 - UNC
W2 - MSU

IF, Marquette were to win the BET, I could see them getting a 2 over Missouri.

I agree with all of these.

I feel like our 2 seed is one of three teams Duke, Michigan State or Ohio State. If the committee puts Kentucky in the South then Duke would be the 2 seed down there as Durham to Atlanta is 389.5 miles whereas Durham to Boston is 696.1 miles. If the committee fouls location it will go like this
East
1. Syracuse
2. Ohio State closest Midwestern team to Boston
Midwest
1. Kansas
2. Michigan State
South
1. Kentucky
2. Duke
West
1. North Carolina
2. Missouri

Duke beat Kansas, so if they are being compared Duke goes to the South, KU out West.

KU and UNC have no head to head result, so it could go either way, but the next time UNC gets the short end of the stick in the tourney will be the first, so I'll stick with Kansas going out West.

I also believe the 4th highest ranked Big East team will be in our bracket Notre Dame 6 seed vs. Michigan 3 seed in the East bracket is a TV matchup I can see happening easily.

If Kansas loses the B12 tourney, and Ohio St wins the Big Ten tourney (and if they beat Mich St especially), I could foresee Ohio St getting it.

In this scenarion both teams would have six losses and very close RPI

Kansas would be 10-5 or 11-5 vs RPI top 50, with marquee wins over Ohio St and Missouri.

Ohio St would likely be 11-5 vs RPI top 50, with marquee wins over Duke and Mich St (twice possibly)

Yes Kansas beat Ohio St, but it was on their floor without Sullinger. I can see the team from the better conference getting the advantage,

Roy Williams is an awful game day and strategic coach, but eventually his talented teams become experienced enough to overcome this.

It happened in 2005 and 2009, when key players stuck around. With John Moron Henson however, the players have to overcome two idiots to win. But this is an experienced and talented team -- they are very dangerous.

If Carolina is the 4th number 1 seed IMO I would rather be the 2nd number 1 seed let Kentucky-North Carolina do battle in the National Semis so we don't have to beat both teams.

If Marquette wins the BET it certainly is in the talk for a 2, but it may need some 2 to have an early exit from their conference tourney.
